What are you working with there? Plain ol' white clay?

Don't see enough of that. With sculpy keeping forms together and using proper technique has been allowed to slide. In my very humble opinion... mind you.

It's actually super sculpey firm.

I can kinda see your point but I think that materials like super sculpey and others have allowed proper form and technique to be pushed to new limits.

Just my thoughts.

I'm sorry if I offended...

I haven't worked with sculpey, only traditional clay... so my comment was made out of frustration for the physical limitations that clay has.

It certainly seems that one can make a more accurate and lifelike figure from sculpey. Definitely one of it's perks.
